This residency in Daugavpils focused on language as a site of encounter within a historically multilingual context shaped by Latvian, Latgalian, Russian, Jewish, and Polish influences.

Working through conversation, workshops, and informal exchanges, I developed an approach grounded in listening—attending to how meaning shifts across languages, and how it is negotiated collectively. Engagements with schoolchildren and adult language learners became central to this process, introducing collaborative and participatory modes of working.

Alongside this, I began to develop a process-based mapping practice, tracing fragments of speech, memory, and interaction. This method extends beyond documentation, forming an ongoing framework within my work.
